WHAT
The 22nd annual international conference of the Arab- U.S. Association for Communication Educators (AUSACE), titled, “Journalism and Mass Communication in the Age of Instant Information.” The three- day conference is organized by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at AUC and it aims to explore research and application of new directions in an ever-changing digital environment whether in the Arab world or globally. The conference program features a keynote address and a range of panels that will address the current state of traditional media within the age of instantaneity, information on changes in media, social media tools professionals use, ethical issues surrounding the shift; how the future of media might look in the next few years and how academics should continuously adapt curricula in the digital age.

Key note speakers of the opening ceremony include Robb Montgomery, media innovation strategist; Mohamed el-Nawawy, AUSACE president and Nabil Fahmy, dean of AUC’s School of Global Affairs and Public Policy.
