2014 edition sees 18% increase in the number of exhibitors
(Riyadh, 15 April 2014) Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh, the 2014 edition of the Riyadh Travel Fair was officially opened today, April 15th, at the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of officials from the participating government tourism organizations, senior Saudi government officials, ambassadors and diplomats from a number of the participating countries, travel and tourism professionals from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries, along with a number of local and international media.
2014 marks the sixth edition of the exhibition which is taking place over four days, from the 15th to 18th of April. With an 18% increase in the number of exhibitors compared to last year’s event, the Riyadh Travel Fair has positioned itself as the largest tourism travel fair of its kind in the kingdom, with more than 200 exhibitors present representing 48 countries. The Riyadh Travel Fair is opened to both travel professionals and the general public and is expected to attract an anticipated increase of 20% in the number of visitors, taking the 14,000 visitors experience during the 2013 edition to 20,000 visitors at this year’s event.

Visitors to the event will be able to directly engage with numerous exhibitors representing various tourism organizations, tourist boards, travel operators and agencies, as well as hotels, international airlines and wellness therapeutic resorts. Additionally, organisers are promising many surprises throughout the event to excite and enthral visitors.
Strategic Partners of the Riyadh Travel Fair with an extended presence at the event include the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, as well as Al Muayed Tourist & Travel Agency. The Ministry of Tourism, Sultanate of Oman will be participating as a Platinum Partner, while the Government of Sharjah Department of Commerce and Tourism Development will be participating as a Gold Partner. The online booking site “Flyin.com” and Fujairah Authority for Tourism and Antiquities will have a strong presence as Silver Partners.
The Saudi Commission for Tourism & Antiquities is participating with its own pavilion to highlight the attractions of the kingdom’s various regions and their potential for domestic tourism development. Other countries to feature at the event for the first time include Mauritius, Seychelles, Australia, Singapore and Sri Lanka.
The Riyadh Travel Fair will be held each evening at the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh between the 15 – 18 April 2014, from 4 – 11pm.
