•        Nissan rises to 56th place in Interbrand study, up from 65th last year

•        Value of the Nissan brand increases by 23% to $7.623 billion

– Nissan has been named one of the world's most valuable brands for 2014, according to Interbrand, the world-leading brand consultancy. In the Best Global Brands Study, released today by Interbrand, Nissan ranked 56, up from 65 in 2013. The study cited the strength of Nissan’s financial performance, product portfolio and leadership position in electric vehicles among the drivers of the company’s brand health. The value of the Nissan brand was estimated at $7.623 billion, an increase from last year's estimated value of nearly $6.2 billion.

In June Nissan was named one of the world's greenest brands for 2014 in Interbrand's Best Global Green Brands report. Nissan moved up one spot to fourth overall powered by the Nissan LEAF, the world's best-selling 100% electric vehicle and making the company the global leader in Zero Emissions mobility.

“Brand power is a key indicator of the health of the Nissan business and a major driver of the company’s growth," said Roel de Vries, Nissan Corporate Vice President and global head of Marketing and Brand Strategy. “We are pleased to see a 23 percent increase in brand value from last year – nearly doubling Nissan’s brand value since its inaugural appearance on the list in 2011 – and recognition as a “top” riser in the study.”

The Best Global Brands study is Interbrand's annual report on the world's most valuable brands. Interbrand's method looks at the ongoing investment and management of the brand as a business asset, taking into account financial performance, the role of brand in the purchase decision process, and the strength of the brand.

The study noted Nissan’s recent launches for the Qashqai, Murano and Rogue as a demonstration of the brand’s “Innovation and Excitement for Everyone” positioning. The company’s leadership in electric vehicles and investment in future mobility, like autonomous vehicles and fuel cell technology, were recognized for addressing emerging customer needs in a rapidly changing automotive market.

إدراج نيسان ضمن لائحة أفضل العلامات التجارية العالمية لعام 2014

·        نيسان ترتقي الى المرتبة الـ 56في دراسة إنتربراند بعد أن كانت في المركز الـ 65خلال العام الماضي

·        قيمة علامة نيسان ترتفع بنسبة 23بالمئة لتبلغ 7.623مليار دولار أميركي

بيروت، لبنان - 22تشرين الأول2014:تم تصنيف نيسان ضمن لائحة أكثر العلامات قيمة لعام 2014وذلك تبعاً لشركة إنتربراند التي تعتبر من أهم الشركات الإستشارية المتخصصة بتصنيف العلامات التجارية في العالم. ففي دراسة أفضل العلامات العالمية التي تجريها إنتربراند والتي أعلنت نتائجها اليوم، تقدمت نيسان من المركز الـ 65لعام 2013الى المرتبة الـ 56هذا العام. وقد نوهت الدراسة بقوة تأدية نيسان المالية وبمجموعة منتجاتها وريادتها لعالم السيارات الكهربائية. وقد تم تقييم قيمة علامة نيسان بـ 7.623مليار دولار، أي بزيادة 6.2مليار دولار مقارنة بالقيمة التقديرية للعام الفائت.

وفي شهر يونيو الماضي، تم تصنيف نيسان ضمن لائحة أكثر العلامات صداقةً مع البيئة لعام 2014وذلك في تقرير دراسة إنتربراند للعلامات الأكثر صداقةً ومراعاةً للبية. وقد تمكنت نيسان من التقدم بمعدل مرتبة واحدة لتحتل المركز الرابع للترتيب العام بفضل سيارتها ليف، التي لا تزال من أكثر السيارات الكهربائية مبيعاً والتي مكنت شركتها من أن تحتل صدارة النقل ذو الإصدارات المعدومة.

وفي هذا الإطار، قال رويل دو فرياس، نائب رئيس نيسان المسؤول عن التسويق والتخطيط الإستراتيجي للعلامة: "تعتبر قوة علامة نيسان بمثابة مؤشر ثابت على صحة أعمالنا وتشكل محركاً أساسياً لنمونا ونحن سعيدون للغاية بسبب الزيادة التي طرأت على قيمة علامتنا مقارنة بالعام الماضي والتي بلغت 23بالمئة، أي ضعف قيمة علامة نيسان منذ ظهورها الأول على لائحة إنتربراند عام 2011. كذلك نشعر بالفخر بسبب التعريف عنا كأكثر العلامات تقدماً في الدراسة".

وتعتبر دراسة أفضل العلامات التجارية العالمية من أهم دراسات شركة إنتربراند السنوية المتخصصة بأكثر العلامات العالمية قيمةً. وتعمل إنتربراند خلال دراساتها على التعمق بالإستثمارات الجارية وإدارة العلامة وكأنها عبارة عن أصول تجارية وذلك مع الأخذ بعين الإعتبار التأدية المالية ودور العلامة في عمليات قرار الشراء وقوة العلامة التجارية.

Huawei Enterprise strengthen their distribution channels in the Egyptian Market

Cairo, Egypt. November 5^th2014: Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today signed two MOU agreements with “Silicon 21” and “MTI” on the first day of Cairo ICT to further improve their network channel presence and solidify their  presence in the promising Egyptian market.

في خطوة تمثل انطلاقها في الأسواق العالمية، وافق مجلس إدارة الشركة العربية للأسمنت بالإجماع على قيام الشركة بالاستثمار في البرازيل بالمشاركة مع شركة ثمنتوس ريلامباجو، إحدى الشركات التابعة لشركة ثمنتوس لا يونيون. يتضمن المشروع إنشاء مصنع لطحن الأسمنت بشمال غرب البرازيل بطاقة إنتاجية قدرها 230 ألف طن سنوياً.

وتعليقاً على تلك الخطوة الهامة، يقول السيد/ خوسيه ماريا ماجرينا- الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة العربية للأسمنت "باعتبارها واحدة من كبرى شركات الأسمنت العاملة في مصر، تسعى الشركة العربية للأسمنت لتوسيع عملياتها على المستوى المحلي والاقليمي والعالمي، وبالفعل وجدنا أن الاستثمار في البرازيل بالتعاون مع احدى الشركات الشقيقة داخل مجموعة ثمنتوس لا يونيون من الفرص الاستثمارية المثالية التي تؤكد تواجدنا في البرازيل، إحدى أهم أسواق أمريكا اللاتينية".

Virtual Academy to Support the Agency in Advancing Project and Road Asset Performance through BIM-enabled Asset Management

November 10, 2014– Bentley Systems, the leading provider of software solutions for sustaining infrastructure, and the Highways Agency, responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving England’s strategic road network, today announce plans for an AssetWise Academy. Bentley’s AssetWisesoftware is already being rolled out and further extended to serve as the Highways Agency’s Integrated Asset Management Information System (IAM IS). Now Bentley and the Highways Agency announce plans to provide a virtual environment for introducing and propagating best practices for BIM-enabled asset management, through the AssetWise Academy.

AssetWise provides management and visibility of network and asset data using multiple linear referencing methods within a single spatial and temporal-enabled database, furnishing a robust network database model to underpin and integrate network-based applications.It also helps users control information and manage change throughout the asset lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of accurate, trusted information to operations and maintenance teams.

The AssetWise platform ensures that the Highways Agency and its supply chain will share a single, integrated system for information management related to roadway assets inventory, condition, defects, and repair works. The Highways Agency is using this common data to support and measure, in an accurate and consistent way, the ability of its service providers to complete roadworks that improve the safety of roads and highways and reduce traffic congestion. Bentley’s MANAGEservices is facilitating the provisioning, expedited deployment, and operation of the Highways Agency’s AssetWise asset information management services in a hybrid cloud-services environment.

November 10, 2014–Bentley Systems and Siemens PLM Software today announced their latest actions to further enhance the integration of the digital product and process lifecycle with the factory’s digital design. The companies have integrated Bentley’s point-cloud building information modeling (BIM) advancement with the state-of-the art process simulation tools in Siemens’ Tecnomatix^® software for 3D digital factory automation. This will enable users of Siemens’ product lifecycle management (PLM) software solutions to work from enhanced 3D digital models of existing factories in their “as-operated” conditions – by leveraging the models created from point clouds captured through scanning.

The announcement was made at The Year in Infrastructure 2014Conference, a global gathering of leading executives in the world of infrastructure design, construction, and operations.

As a result of the new integrated solution, manufacturers can benefit from:

·         an earlier start of production, by avoiding construction or production line interferences;

Announcements at the Bentley Year in Infrastructure 2014 and Trimble Dimensions 2014 Conferences Underscore Joint Undertakings and Benefits

November 10, 2014– Bentley Systems and Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB), leading providers of BIM technology for engineers and contractors, have committed to leveraging construction modeling for the benefit of capital, industrial, and infrastructure project delivery. Aspects of construction modeling include modeling of temporary works, intelligent positioning, “splitting and sequencing,” detailing for fabrication, workface planning, construction work packaging, and support for distributed construction – referencing and supplementing design modeling deliverables.

Today, architects and engineers perform design modeling with BIM toolsets that support optioneering and analytical modeling, and enable owners to make better decisions for better-performing assets, including in respects that would be pertinent and valuable during operations and maintenance. However, some of the most advanced BIM deliverables have simply not been useful for constructors’ requirements. Accordingly, the constructors have been left to create their own discrete 3D models for the limited purposes of construction visualization. As a result, owners have been unable to expect their designers’ BIM work to even survive the construction process let alone provide visibility into the engineering and analytics, which otherwise could have been useful during operations. In practice, therefore, this discontinuity has negated the potential benefits of BIM for either better-performing projects or assets. Construction modeling is the response by Bentley and Trimble to fill this gap and to enable all the potential benefits. In construction modeling the architects’ and engineers’ work is preserved and referenced, with construction modeling overlaid and as-built changes included.

Bentley and Trimble will each contribute to construction modeling advances by pooling resources for product development through:

·         sharing schemas across design and construction applications to ensure that constructible models maintain semantic fidelity;

·         leveraging i-modelsfor construction deliverables to and from the companies’ respective software and hardware, when used together in project delivery;

·         joining forces to advance standards, for instance the Open Geospatial Consortium’s “intrinsic geo-context” down to construction levels of detail;

·         leveraging in certain cases common modeling software for virtual and physical alignment; for instance, Trimble uses Bentley software technology to provide intrinsic 3D geo-context for Trimble^® Field Link.

Benefits realized thus far from Bentley and Trimble construction modeling advances include:

·         facilitating accurate information mobility between vertical building, plant design, and the construction site by enabling engineers to create intelligent field data in Bentley Navigator, manage those point sets in ProjectWise, and securely deliver them to Trimble Field Solutions via Trimble Field Link, creating high fidelity positioning points between the construction model in the design office and positioning devices in the field.

·         saving time, reducing rework, preserving design intent, and accelerating project delivery via the seamless transfer of information from concept through construction. This results from the new link between the Trimble Quantm® Alignment Planning System and OpenRoads, which extends the detailed design-to-construction workflow for heavy civil alignment to encompass the corridor planning and value engineering processes, complete with change management and tracking.

·         providing contractors the greatest flexibility in performing field layout tasks and enabling the construction of higher-quality buildings by accepting Bentley’s i-modelsin Trimble Field Link to enhance information mobility.

·         responding to the “Every Day Counts” challenge of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration by enabling terrain and alignment to be taken directly from Bentley’s OpenRoads technology for multi-discipline civil engineering into Trimble’s Business Center – HCE office software and then sent directly to its Site Positioning Systems and Grade Control Systems– information mobility “from BIM to bulldozer.”

أبدت كل من "بنتلي سيستمز" (Bentley Systems) و"تريمبل" (Trimple)، الشركتين الرائدتين في توفير تكنولوجيا نمذجة معلومات المباني (BIM) للمهندسين والمقاولين، التزامهما بتعزيز "نمذجة الإنشاءات" (construction modelling) لما فيه فائدة تنفيذ مشاريع رأس المال والقطاع الصناعي والبنية التحتية. وتشتمل جوانب نمذجة الإنشاءات على نمذجة الأعمال المؤقتة والتحديد الذكي للمواقع و"التجزئة والتسلسل" (splitting and sequencing) وتفصيل عملية التصنيع وتخطيط عملية التحضير المناسبة لأعمال المشروع وصفقات العمل الإنشائي ودعم العمل الإنشائي الموزع- أي إسناد واستكمال مخرجات نمذجة التصميم.

- تبادل المخططات بين تطبيقات التصميم والإنشاءات لضمان الحفاظ على دقة النماذج القابلة للتنفيذ الإنشائي (constructible models).

- الاستفادة من "آي مودلز" (i-models) لمخرجات الإنشاءات إلى ومن برمجيات واجهزة الشركة، عندما تستخدم معاً في تنفيذ المشاريع؛

- توحيد القوى لتعزيز المعايير، على سبيل المثال "السياق الجغرافي الحقيقي"للاتحاد المفتوح للجغرافية المكانية وصولاً إلى مستويات البناء من التفاصيل؛

- الاستفادة في حالات معينة من برنامج عام للنمذجة من أجل المحاذاة الافتراضية والمادية، على سبيل المثال، تستخدم "تريمبل"التكنولوجيا البرمجية من "بنتلي"لتوفير سياق جغرافي حقيقي ثلاثي الأبعاد من أجل نموذج "تريمبل فيلد لينك" (Trimble Field Link).   

الفوائد المتحققة حتى الآن من تحديثات نمذجة الإنشاءات من "بنتلي"و"تريمبل":

- تسهيل انتقال المعلومات الدقيقة بين البناء الرأسي وتصميم المنشاة وموقع البناء من خلال تمكين المهندسين من إنشاء بيانات ميدانية ذكية بواسطة "بنتلي نافيغيتر" (Bentley Navigator)، وإدارة مجموعات النقاط هذه في "بروجيكت وايز" (ProjectWise)، وتقديمها بشكل آمن إلى "حلول تريمبل الميدانية" (Trimble Field Solutions) عن طريق "تريمبل فيلد لينك"، الأمر الذي ينتج نقاط تموضع عالية الدقة بين نموذج الإنشاء (construction model) في مكتب التصميم وأجهزة تحديد الموقع في ميدان المشروع.

- توفير الوقت والحد من إعادة العمل والمحافظة على بنية التصميم وتسريع عملية تنفيذ المشروع عن طريق النقل السلس للمعلومات من المفهوم وصولاً للإنشاء. وينتج ذلك من الربط الجديد بين نظام تخطيط المحاذاة "تريمبل كوانتوم" (Trimble Quantum) و"أوبين رودز" (OpenRoads)، الذي يقدم سير العمل المفصل من التصميم إلى البناء للموائمة المدنية لتشمل تخطيط الممرات وعمليات هندسة القيمة، مع استكمال إدارة التغيير والمتابعة.

- تزويد المقاولين بأكبر قدر من المرونة في تنفيذ مهام التخطيط الميداني وإتاحة إنشاء المباني الأعلى جودة من خلال قبول "آي مودلز"(i-models)  من "بنتلي"في تطبيق "تريمبل فيلد لينك"(Trimble Field Link) بهدف تحسين انتقال المعلوات.

- الاستجابة لتحدي "كل يوم له أهمية"الخاص بإدارة الطرق السريعة في وزارة المواصلات الأمريكية، وذلك من خلال إتاحة المعارف والمواءمة والتي يجب أخذها مباشرة من تقنية "أوبين رودز" (OpenRoads)من "بنتلي"للهندسة المدنية متعددة التخصصات إلى مركز أعمال "تريمبل"– البرنامج المكتبي "إيتش. سي. إي" (HCE) ومن ثم إرسالها مباشرة إلى نظم تحديد المواقع (Site Positioning Systems) ونظم التحكم بالتصنيف (Grade Control Systems)- ونقل المعلومات من مرحلة نمذجة معلومات المباني إلى التنفيذ العملي على الأرض.       

وقال أندي كايهانفار، مدير الإنشاءات الإفتراضية في الكويت: "إحدى التحديات التي تواجهنا في الإنشاءات هي تحويل نماذج التصميم إلى نماذج إنشائية واقعية للإستفادة منها في القطاع. ووفرت كلا من "بنتلي"و"تريمبل"حلا يعزز الكفاءات ويحد من عمليات إعادة العمل والمخاطر عند ترجمة نموذج التصميم إلى الدراسة. ويساهم التكامل ما بين "بنتلي"و"تريمبل"في توفير المعلومات التي تم إنشاؤها خلال عملية التصميم بواسطة "أوبن رودز"(OpenRoads)من خلال فريق إستراتيجية الدراسة وذلك عبر مركز أعمال – أتش. سي. إي تريمبل"(HCE). ومن خلال ازدياد حجم المعلومات المنتقلة أصبح القطاع حافل بثقة أكبر في النموذج، في حين يتم الحد من المخاطر المرتبطة بعمليات التحويل المتعددة بشكل كبير".

وقال براين فوسبرغ، نائب رئيس إدارات تكنولوجيا الإنشاء في "تريمبل": "تتميز علاقتنا بـ "بنتلي"بأنّها علاقة متينة قائمة على أسس قوية حيث تدعم أنشطتنا المشتركة مع "بنتلي"مستخدمينا الذين يعملون معنا على مشاريع مشتركة للإستفادة من نماذج الإنشاء. ونرى وسائل عديدة لتحويل مسارات العمل لكي يتم تحقيق مزايا دورات حياة نماذج معلومات الأعمال".

SOHAR has taken another step towards diversifying its business offering and creating a world-class hub for handling agricultural goods, with a stand at the Gulf Foods Manufacturing Exhibition in Dubai set to engage industry leaders and attract investment according to Executive Commercial Manager, Edwin Lammers. Having recently announced that Atyab Investment and Oman Flour Mills will build Oman’s first terminal dedicated to grain and other foodstuffs at SOHAR, there are plans for grain silos with a capacity of around 200,000, as well as a sugar refinery that is projected to generate 1 million tonnes in raw sugar imports. “The importing of vegetables, animal products, and foodstuffs into Oman are worth US$2.7 billion to the economy and with our new agricultural terminal, storage facilities, and transport links, SOHAR is perfectly positioned to become a distribution centre for these products in the Gulf region,” explained Mr. Lammers.  “As we build this infrastructure, projects like the sugar refinery will create opportunities for other industries and we have already had several enquiries from food manufacturers interested in taking advantage of this growth. Our presence at the Gulf Food Manufacturing Exhibition will help leverage this interest further”. Construction work on the sugar refinery complex, also a first for Oman, will begin at the end of the year after an agreement was signed with Oman Sugar Refinery Company LLC in April last year. Under the deal, SOHAR will lease 180,000 square metres of prime waterfront area for the development of the plant. Output is initially envisaged at 700,000 tonnes in the first phase, with full capacity to be reached in three years. Together with the agricultural terminal and grain storage facilities, this project will take advantage of the excellent facilities provided by the strategically located Port, which include a deep water port an abundance of low-cost energy, and available space on the Freezone. Commercial sugar production is targeted by 2016.

Leading Alexandrian shopping mall hosts the kick off celebration of the 3,000 KM scooter rally to promote tourism across Egypt  

Egypt, Cairo - November 12, 2014

City Centre Alexandria recently announced partnering with Cross Egypt Challenge as a sponsor for its 3,000 km rally across Egypt, to take place from November 14-22, 2014. The sponsorship includes hosting the launching ceremony of Cross Egypt Challenge on November 13, in the mall. With representatives from Alexandria Governorate Office and the Egyptian Tourism Authority in attendance, Cross Egypt Challenge will launch its fourth rally starting from the Mediterranean's largest coastal city of Alexandria and crossing Egypt all the way back to Cairo.

The group plans to drive 3000 km across Egypt, highlighting the country's most well-known tourism spots. The rally will start from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, passing along the shore of the Red Sea and crossing both the Egyptian Eastern and Western deserts en route ending at the Great Pyramids of Giza.

Cross Egypt Challenge is the only organized cross-country rally of its kind in the entire region and combines the best of adventure travel and extreme sport. Each season of the endurance rally introduces a new route throughout the most famous spots of Egypt; a track that nobody ever thought could be done on motorcycles or scooters. The series started in 2011 and the first season was a 9 days rally starting from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in the North of Egypt and reaching the temple of Abu Simbel, on the southern borders of Egypt with a total distance of over 1,700 km.

Inaugural Saudi Maritime Congress to support Kingdom’s job creation for Saudi nationals with dedicated careers round table session; US$30 billion-worth of infrastructure investment will drive further opportunity as unemployment rate drops to 11.5% in 2013

The opportunities for Saudi nationals looking to forge successful careers in the shipping industry as part of the government’s long term drive towards Saudization, will be explored during a special focus session at the inaugural 2014 Saudi Maritime Congress, which will take place at the Sheraton Dammam Hotel & Towers from 25-26 November 2014.

Held under the patronage of HE Jabarah bin Eid Al Suraiseri, Minister of Transport and Chairman of Saudi Ports Authority, the two-day event will include a realistic analysis of career prospects in the shipping and ports sector as the country pushes ahead with its ambitious Nitaqat initiative goals.

Launched in 2011, the Nitaqat programme mandates that at least 30% of employees in private sector companies are Saudi nationals, with companies categorised and ranked on a sliding scale by size, performance and sector relevance.

According to a US’ Massachusett’s Institute of Technology (MIT) April 2014 study, under the Nitaqat initiative, the number of Saudi Arabians employed in the private sector increased by 462,000 for the period between July 2011 and October 2012.

“With over US$30 billion of investment into major land and sea infrastructural projects designed to support long term maritime trade growth in the Kingdom and with Saudi unemployment levels dipping to 11.5% at the end of 2013 from 12.1% in 2012, of which around 30% and 32% are young males and females respectively, there is clearly a huge opportunity for investment into local human capital across the ports and shipping sector,” said Chris Hayman, Chairman, Seatrade, organiser of the Saudi Maritime Congress.

“High levels of foreign direct investment, which tallied a staggering US$12.2 billion in 2012, as per UN statistics, are a vital means of providing the Saudi government with ways to create new jobs in the maritime, trade and logistics sectors. With Saudization a key strategic focus under the government’s five-year plan, the industry has a lot to gain from capitalising on its wealth of local resources,” he added.

The day two session, which runs from 12:45 - 2pm on 26^th November, will look at the Kingdom’s expanding maritime sector with a line-up of respected international industry experts presenting their perspective on what the industry can offer in terms of employment opportunities for Saudi nationals in an interactive round table format.

Confirmed panelists include Alaa Khawaja, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Maritime Studies, King Abdulaziz University, KSA; Mark Robertshaw, Managing Director - Isle of Man & Commercial Director, Bibby Ship Management, UK; Mathijs Wagemans, Head of Department, Port Shipping and Transport Management, IMCO, Oman; Dr Malcolm Willingale, Director, Cambridge Academy of Transport, UK; Capt Ahmed Youssef, Director, International Forum for Maritime Transport, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Marine Transport, Egypt; and Tom Boardley, Marine Director, Lloyds Register Marine, UAE.

The session, which will be chaired by Dr Ismail Abd El Ghafar, President of the Arabic Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Egypt, is not only targeting key industry players but also universities, colleges and education departments focused on career development guidance.

In August 2014, the Ministry of Labor introduced a new six month-long study designed to calculate actual Saudization rates in the private sector with the aim of encouraging Saudi employee retention.

According to the Saudi labour ministry, three million new jobs are needed for Saudi nationals by 2015, and high birth rates are compounding the situation increasing the number of youths entering the job market every year, with salary expectations, on average, 3.6 times higher than those of foreign workers.

At a recent Shoura Council session, members called for the establishment of a Ministry of Labour committee to co-ordinate and supervise the Saudi employment strategy and provide the necessary support for its implementation.

“In recent months the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) has also rejected applications for new trade licenses where companies have been unable to demonstrate viable Saudization plans; it is imperative, therefore, that investors and operators scale up their recruitment efforts in order to ensure that workable plans are put in place to maintain industry momentum and secure long term success,” noted Hayman.

The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) initiated event will be complemented by an associated exhibition including leading shipping lines, shippers, cargo owners, forwarders, logistic companies, port terminal operators, port equipment and service suppliers. 

المؤتمر السعودي البحري يبحث دعم

فرص العمل للسعوديين في قطاع النقل البحري

يخصص المؤتمر السعودي البحري الأول، الذي ينعقد تحت رعاية معالي الدكتور جبارة بن عيد الصريصري ، وزير النقل رئيس مجلس إدارة المؤسسة العامة للموانئ في فندق شيراتون الدمام بين 25 و26 نوفمبر 2014، ضمن فعالياته جلسة خاصة لتسليط الضوء على الفرص الوظيفية المتاحة للمواطنين السعوديين الذين يتطلعون للعمل في قطاع النقل والشحن البحري في إطار مساعي الحكومة وبرامجها تجاه توطين الوظائف في هذا القطاع الحيوي على المدى الطويل.

وتبحث الجلسة المعطيات والتحليلات الخاصة بالفرص الوظيفية الآنية والمستقبلية في قطاع النقل البحري والموانىء تماشيا مع أهداف مبادرة "نطاقات"التي أطلقتها الحكومة في عام 2011 بهدف توطين الوظائف في شركات القطاع الخاص وتحديد نسبة 30 في المائة على الأقل من الوظائف فيها للمواطنين السعوديين مع الأخذ في الاعتبار حجم وأداء تلك الشركات والقطاع الذي تعمل فيه.

ووفقا لنتائج دراسة أعدها معهد ماسيتشوستس للتكنولوجيا الأمريكي في أبريل 2014، بلغ عدد المواطنين السعودين الذين تم توظيفهم في شركات القطاع الخاص في السعودية في إطار مبادرة "نطاقات" 462 ألف شخص في الفترة بين يوليو 2011 واكتوبر 2012.

وقال كريس هايمان، رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة سيتريد التي تنظم الحدث: "في ظل استثمار أكثر من 30 ملياردولار أمريكي في مشاريع تطوير البنية التحتية البرية والبحرية لدعم نمو قطاع النقل البحري على المدى البعيد في المملكة وتراجع نسبة البطالة إلى 11.5 في المائة في نهاية 2013 مقارنة بنسبة 12.1 في المائة في 2012، بما في ذلك 30 و32 في المائة من الشباب الذكور والإناث على التوالي، فمن الواضح أن هناكفرصة كبيرةللاستثمارفيالعنصر البشريالمحليوتوظيفه للعمل في مختلف مجالات القطاع البحري".

وأضاف: "تعد الاستثمارات الأجنبية المباشرة الكبيرة، التي بلغت نحو 12.2 مليار دولار أمريكي في 2012 وفقا لبيانات الأمم المتحدة، وسيلة حيويةلدعم برامج الحكومة السعوديةفي توفير فرص عمل جديدة في قطاعاتالنقل البحريوالتجارة والخدمات اللوجستية. ومع التركيزعلى توطين الوظائف في المملكة كبرنامج استراتيجي ضمن خطة الحكومةالخمسية، فإن القطاع سيحظى بالكثير اعتمادا على غنى الموارد المحلية  ويبشر بالكثير من الفرص الوظيفية للمواطنين".

ويبحث المؤتمر في جلسة اليوم الثاني التي تنعقد بين الساعة 12:45 - 14:00 في 26 نوفمبر، خطط تطوير القطاع البحري في المملكة بمشاركة عدد من أبرز خبراء القطاع الدوليين حيث سيبحثون السبل والكيفية التي يمكن القطاع البحري من خلالها توفير فرص عمل للمواطنين السعوديين من حيثفرص العمل للالمواطنين السعوديينفي شكلمائدة مستديرةتفاعلية.

يشار إلى أن وزارة العمل في المملكة العربية السعودية أطلقت دراسة جديدة في أغسطس2014 تستمر لمدة ستة أشهر تهدف إلى جمع معدلاتالسعودةالفعليةفي شركات القطاع الخاصوالعمل على تشجيعبقاء الموظفينالسعوديين في وزائف القطاع.

وبحسب وزارةالعمل السعودية، يحتاجالاقتصادالسعودي إلى توفير 3 ملايينفرصة عمل جديدةللمواطنين السعوديينبحلول عام 2015وأن معدلات المواليد المرتفعة تسهم في تفاقم الوضعبزيادة الأعداد في فئة الشبابالذين يدخلون سوق العملسنويا مع توقعات بالحصول على رواتب تزيد 3.6 مرة في المتوسط عن ما يحصل عليه الأجانب".

هناك حاجة إلىتوفير ثلاثة ملايينفرصة عمل جديدةللمواطنين السعوديينبحلول 2015، في حين تسهم معدلاتالمواليد المرتفعةفي تفاقم الوضع الخاص بزيادة أعداد فئة الشبابالذين يدخلون سوق العملكل عام معتوقعاتالحصول على رواتب تزيد في المتوسط بأكثر من 3 مرات عن رواتب العمال الأجانب.

Qatar – November 13, 2014 – (ME NewsWire)MEEZA the leading IT services and solutions provider in Qatar, announced that its latest and biggest data centre to date. M-VAULT 2, with a total building area of 10,000 m² is now fully operational and offering access to MEEZA’s full portfolio of services.

Built in accordance with the highest global standards, MEEZA’s M-VAULT 2 is the first data centre of its kind in the MENA region the new data centre offers an unprecedented level of flexibility and reliability in the region, enabling businesses to benefit from greater efficiency and reduced risk. 13 November 2014– Bentley Systems, Incorporated, the leading company dedicated to providing comprehensive software solutions for sustaining infrastructure, today announced the winners of the 2014 Be Inspired Awards. The awards honor the extraordinary work of Bentley users improving the world’s infrastructure. They were presented last night at a ceremony during The Year in Infrastructure 2014 Conference, held 4-6 November in London, United Kingdom. This global gathering of leading executives in the world of infrastructure design, construction, and operations featured presentations and interactive sessions exploring the intersection of technology and business drivers, and how they are shaping the future of infrastructure delivery and investment returns. It was also attended by more than 100 members of the media from leading publications around the globe.

Special guest keynoters included:

·      Professor Andrew McNaughton,FREng, Chief Engineer and Technical Director, HS2 Ltd. Andrew McNaughton has been with HS2 Ltd since 2009, developing the principles, network, and specific route design for high speed rail in Great Britain.

·      Ed Merrow, Founder and President of Independent Project Analysis, Inc. Ed Merrow is a globally recognized subject matter expert in the execution of large and complex megaprojects and capital projects in general.

During the awards ceremony, 18 Be Inspired Awards winners and seven Be Inspired Special Recognition Awards winners were acknowledged. In addition, this year’s recipient of the Bentley Educator of the Year award, Artur Krawczyk, Ph.D., a lecturer at AGH University of Science and Technology, Kraków, Poland, was acknowledged.

Nine independent panels of jurors, comprising distinguished industry experts, selected the Be Inspired Awards winners from 54 project finalists. These finalists had been previously chosen from submissions by organizations in 49 countries.

Candidates for Bentley’s Be Inspired Special Recognition Awards were selected by the jurors from the top finalist projects as well as other exemplary nominations. This selection was based on the projects’ uniquely innovative and visionary achievements that transcend the narrower focus of the standing Be InspiredAwards categories. The nominees were then reviewed by a panel of Bentley executives, who evaluated them based on the criteria established for each award.

·      إيد مارو (Ed Merrow)، وهو مؤسس ورئيس شركة اندبندنت بروجكت أناليسيس (Independent Project Analysis, Inc.) مارو هو خبير مشهود عالميا في تنفيذ المشروعات العملاقة الكبيرة والمعقدة والمشاريع الرئيسية بشكل عام.

New Generation of “Software at Your Service”

13 November 2014– Bentley Systems, Incorporated today unveiled its next generation of software for sustaining infrastructure at this gathering of leading AEC executives, infrastructure owner-operators, and 100+ journalists from around the globe. The CONNECT Edition will succeed Bentley’s V8i software generation, supporting a hybrid computing environment for Comprehensive Project Delivery and “completing the reach” to all project participants.

MicroStationCONNECT Edition has already been made available to Early Access participants, and many of the ProjectWise CONNECT Edition services, along with the Navigator CONNECT Edition app-lication, will be available for Early Access by year’s end. V8i modeling applications will compatibly intra-operate with both MicroStation CONNECT Edition and ProjectWise CONNECT Edition, as there is no change to the DGN file format. The CONNECT Edition of Bentley’s modeling applications and AssetWise offerings will be released throughout 2015 and 2016.

The CONNECT Edition converges Bentley’s platform technology to support a hybrid environment across desktop modeling applications, cloud-services, on-premise servers, and mobile apps. The CONNECT Edition leverages Microsoft’s Azure cloud services to connect all users across projects. Azure also underpins CONNECT SELECTservices, which wassuccessfully introduced earlier this year to extend Bentley’s full portfolio for SELECT Open Access, through Quarterly Term Licensing, to all Bentley subscribers. Azure cloud services provide CONNECT Edition users with instant access tounlimited computational nodes to make feasible unprecedented optioneering, for better design outcomes and ultimately improved asset performance. Also through Azure, Bentley’s MANAGEservicesprovides instant-on access to all ProjectWiseservices.

For each user, the CONNECT Edition provides a personalized Bentley Playlist™ of applications and appsspecific to each participant’s project role, with personalized learning paths and just-in-time recommendations. A Bentley CONNECTIONS Passport provides authenticated access to ProjectWise and AssetWiseservices and software spanning a user’s hybrid computing environment. For example, Bentley’s Navigator CONNECT Edition“app-lication” provides a user with the same immersive “hands-on” interface across Windows, Android, and iOS, from giant touchscreens to handhelds – for information mobility to and from office, jobsite, and the field.

The most sought-after employers in the World based on billions of interactions from LinkedIn's 300M+ members

Cairo, Egypt. November 16^th 2014. LinkedIn has just released its annual list of the 100 most in-demand employers — based on how avidly the social network’s users interact with those elite companies. The farther down the list you go, the more surprises emerge. The top five spots are claimed by perennial leaders Google, Apple, Unilever, Microsoft and Facebook. After that, it’s anyone’s game.

Among some of the surprise standouts in LinkedIn’stop-100 list this year are a slew of manufacturing companies, ranging from Siemens of Germany (#39) to Huawei of China (No. 98.) Others include Avaya, Honeywell and Schneider Electric.

Northern California’s recent crops of disruptive young companies are well represented by insurgents such as Uber, the personal car service (#30), electric-car maker Tesla Motors (#31), and short-term rental specialists Airbnb (#60.)

Bouncing back into prominence is Yahoo, the aging Internet portal which has regained visibility thanks to its hugely profitable stake in Chinese e-commerce specialist Alibaba, as well as the high profile of its current CEO, Marissa Mayer. Yahoo (#26) has soared nearly 200 places in LinkedIn’s rankings since 2013.

In a blog post, LinkedIn’s vice president for talent solutions, Wade Burgess, noted that while 63% of the companies on the list are U.S. based, the list also includes a cross-section of companies from 18 other countries. These range from Sephora, a French cosmetics company, to Emirates, the Abu Dhabi-based airline.

LinkedIn doesn’t disclose the exact workings of its ratings formula, but it does say that in general terms, rankings are based on awareness of a company (e.g. how many LinkedIn members view profiles of a particular company’s employees), along with a gauge of how many members have followed that company’s specialized pages within the past year.

القاهرة، مصرز 16 نوفمبر 2014. أصدر موقع LinkedInقائمته السنوية لأكثر مئة شركة مطلوبة، وذلك بناء على مدى الحماس الذي يظهره مستخدمو شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في تفاعلهم مع هذه الشركات الكبيرة. وكلما اطلعنا على القائمة، سنجد مفاجآت؛ فأعلى خمسة مراكز تحتلها الشركات المعتادة مثل جوجل، وآبل، ويونيليفر، ومايكروسوفت، وفيسبوك. ثم تأتي بعد ذلك بقية الشركات.

ومن ضمن المفاجآت البارزة في قائمة LinkedInلهذا العام مجموعة من الشركات الصناعية التي تتراوح بين سيمنس الألمانية (المركز 39) وهواوي الصينية (المركز 98). وتتضمن المراكز الأخرى أفايا، وهانيويل، وشنايدر إلكتريك.

وتمثل شمال كاليفورنيا شركات شابة برزت في وقت قصير، ومنها Uber، وهي شركة لخدمات السيارات الملاكي (المركز 30)، وشركة تصنيع السيارات الكهربائية Tesla Motors (المركز 31)، وأخصائيو إيجار السيارات قصير الأجل Airbnb (المركز 60).

وهناك شركات استعادت مكانتها الرائدة، مثل ياهو، بوابة الإنترنت القديمة التي رجعت إلى الصدارة بفضل حصتها الضخمة المربحة في موقع التجارة الإلكترونية الصيني المتخصص "علي بابا"، وبفضل الخبرة الكبيرة التي تتمتع بها مديرتها التنفيذية الحالية ماريسا ماير. وقد ارتفع مركز ياهو (المركز 26) بمقدار 200 مركز تقريبًا في تصنيفات LinkedInمنذ عام 2013.

وفي أحد تدويناته، ذكر ويد برجس، نائب رئيس LinkedInلحلول المواهب، أنه في حين أن 63% من الشركات الواردة على القائمة هي شركات يقع مقرها الرئيسي في الولايات المتحدة، إلا إن القائمة تتضمن أيضًا شريحة من الشركات التي تقع مقراتها الرئيسية في 18 بلدًا آخر، مثل سيفورا، وهي شركة فرنسية لمستحضرات التجميل، وطيران الإمارات الذي يقع مقرها الرئيسي في أبوظبي.

ولا يفصح موقع LinkedInعن الطريقة الدقيقة للصيغة التي يستخدمها في التصنيف، ولكنه يوحي بذلك بعبارات عامة، مشيرًا إلى أن التصنيفات تقوم على الوعي بالشركة (مثلاً عدد مشاهدة أعضاء الموقع صفحات موظفي شركة معينة)، بجانب قياس عدد الأعضاء الذي تابعوا صفحات الشركة المتخصصة خلال العام السابق.

Leading building materials producer releases ‘XPE-GOF XPE Insulation’ and ‘Gulf.O.Glue’

Rubber World Industries LLC (RWI), the leading manufacturer of closed-cell rubber insulation 'Gulf-O-Flex' in the Gulf and South East Asia, and part of the international business conglomerate, the Shaikhani Group of Companies, as a part of its continuing move to reinforce its leading market position across the Middle East region,has announced the launch of two of its latest products during its participation at this year’s edition of ‘The Big 5 International Building & Construction Show,’ the largest gathering of the construction industry in the Middle East, which is being held from November 17 to November 20, 2014 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The company will be releasing ‘XPE-GOF XPE Insulation,’ a green eco-friendly insulation product and 'Gulf.O.Glue, an adhesive glue with lower Volatile Organic Content (VOC).

According to the company’s senior executives, the release of the two new products proves to be both timely and strategic as the region’s construction industry is currently demonstrating huge construction activity, which in turn has also created a key demand for world class building materials, particularly insulation and rubber-based building products.

‘XPE-GOF XPE Insulation’ has been classified as CFC and HCFC free and has also been identified as a recyclable material. The product’s composite aluminum polyolefin sheet and tubes have been designed using the latest plastic modified technology. The main raw material used is polyolefin, which has no PVC and gives out low smoke and non-toxic matter. ‘XPE-GOF XPE Insulation’ is usually laminated with aluminum foil and self-adhesive, which is more popular in duct insulation application. GOF XPE is suitable for thermal insulation, condensation control and sound absorption. The foam has soft smooth texture, closed cell polyolefin structure, eco friendly and energy saving characteristics. The product also has the lowest heat conduction (0.032-0.038W/m-K), which reduces the loss of calorific capacity. Long time usage can lower energy expenditures and the cost, making it suitable for making heat preservation pipes and boards. It also has other key features like mildew growth resistance and anti-fungus capability, suitable for humid environments in all kinds of HVAC & R applications.

Meanwhile, ‘Gulf.O.Glue,’ which is low on VOC, has been specially formulated to provide excellent exterior and interior adhesion. The foam board adhesive is a premium grade formulation for bonding foam board insulation to a variety of surfaces. ‘Gulf.O.Glue’ is a latex-based adhesive specifically designed for bonding polysterene foam to itself--permanently joining foam boards to the substrate without compromising the insulation value of foam.

RWI’s participation at The Big 5 Show 2014 follows after the company’s successful presence at some of the world’s leading conferences and exhibitions on building materials like the AHR Expo Mexico 2014, the Iran HVAC & R Show 2014 and Baku Build 2014.

كشفت "رابر وورلد للصناعة"، الشركة المتخصصة في مجال تصنيع منتجات المطاط العازل بتقنية الخلايا المغلقة "جلف- أو- فليكس" (Gulf-O-Flex) في منطقة الخليج وجنوب شرق آسيا والتابعة للإئتلاف التجاري الدولي "مجموعة شركات شيخاني"، وفي إطار سعيها المستمر لتعزيز مكانتها في أسواق الشرق الأوسط، عزمها على إطلاق اثنين من أحدث منتجاتها وذلك خلال مشاركتها في دورة هذا العام من معرض "الخمسة الكبار الدولي للبناء والتشييد" (The Big 5 International Building & Construction Show). ويعد هذا المعرض، الذي سيقام خلال الفترة من 17 ولغاية 20 نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني الجاري في مركز دبي التجاري العالمي، أكبر تجمع للمعنيين بقطاع التشييد والبناء في الشرق الأوسط. وستقوم الشركة خلال هذا المعرض بإطلاق مادة العزل الخضراء الآمنة بيئياً "جي. أو. أف- إكس. بي. أي. إنسوليشن" (GOF XPE Insulation) ومادة "غلف. أو. غلو لو في. أو. سي" (Gulf.O.Glue Low VOC)، وهي مادة لاصقة ذات محتوى عضوي منخفض التطاير.

ووفقاً لكبار المسؤولين التنفيذيين في الشركة، فإن عملية إطلاق هذين المنتجين الجديدين تأتي في وقت مناسب واستراتيجي في ظل النشاط الكبير الذي يشهده قطاع التشييد والبناء في المنطقة، الأمر الذي أدّى بدوره إلى ارتفاع في الطلب على مواد البناء عالية الجودة، وخاصةً منتجات العزل والمطاط.

وتم تصنيف المنتج "أكس. بي. أي- جي. أو. أف إكس. بي. أي. إنسوليشن"على أنه مادة خالي من مركبات "كلوروفلوركاربون" (CFC) و"هايدروكلورفلوركاربون" (HCFC) وبأنه منتج قابل لإعادة التدوير أيضاً. وتم تصميم أنابيب ورقاقات مركب بولي أوليفين الألمنيوم لهذا المنتج باستخدام أحدث تقنيات تعديل البلاستيك. أما المادة الخام الرئيسية المستخدمة في هذا المنتج فهي "بولي أوليفين"، التي لا تحتوي على مركب "بولي فينيل كلورايد" (PVC) ولا تطلق غازات سامة. وعادةً ما يتم تغليف مادة "جي. أو. أف إكس. بي. أي. إنسوليشن"برقاقة من الألمنيوم ولاصق ذاتي، وهو الأمر الشائع في تطبيقات عزل الأنابيب. وتعتبر جي. أو. أف إكس. بي. أي"مادة ملائمة للعزل الحراري وضبط التكثيف وعزل الصوت. ولهذه المادة الرغوية ملمس ناعم وتركيبة من مادة "بولي أوليفين"مغلقة الخلايا وهي ذات خصائص آمنة بيئياً وموفرة للطاقة. كما يتميز هذا المنتج بانخفاض معدل توصيله للحرارة (0.032-0.038 دبليو/ام. كيه)، مما يقلل من فقدان الطاقة الحرارية. ومن شأن الإستخدام طويل الأمد لهذا المنتج أن يخفّض من نفقات وتكاليف الطاقة، ما يجعله مثالياً لصناعة أنابيب وألواح عزل الحرارة. كما يتميز هذا المنتج أيضاً بمزايا هامة أخرى مثل مقاومة نمو العفن والقدرة على مقاومة الفطريات، وهو مناسب للبيئات الرطبة، حيث يُستخدم في كافة تطبيقات التدفئة والتهوية وتكييف الهواء والتجميد.

أما مادة "غلف.أو.غلو"ذات المحتوى العضوي منخفض التطاير، فتم إنتاجها خصيصاً لتوفير قدرات إلتصاق داخلي وخارجي ممتازة. وتعدّ مادة لصق الألواح الإسفنجية تركيبة متميزة لأغراض عزل الألواح الإسفنجية لمجموعة متنوعة من الأسطح. و"غلف.أو.غلو"هي مادة قائمة على اللاتكس تم تصميمها خصيصاً للصق رغوة البوليستيرين ببعضها مع توفير لصق الدائم للألواح الإسفنجية بطبقات الأساس دون المساس بقيمة عزل الإسفنج.
